Hello I am in a total quagmire. I got (well more of rescued) a GSD only two days ago. He was traumatized, very irritable, angry and unfriendly. At most he weighed 7 kilograms (as am not familiar with lbs), passed a loose stool as black as engine oil from vehicle whose service date was over due by 200 miles. The card handed to by the breeders assistant indicates a birth date in October last year, however the chap looks no more than a six weeks puppy. His hind legs are feeble and generally week and have definitely made think he is either lame or has not walked in quite a while. After having the Vet de-worm him, the stool quickly turned earth brown. What are the realistic chances that my new found friend will walk normally again and how do I get to help him? I really need him to gain his normal weight so he gets to look like his brother. Please help because at about five months, am not sure how long more he’s got to grow.
