Over 33 years of Natural Rearing/Raw Feeding experience and research went into the sourcing of unique ingredients used to produce a completely updated version of this traditional daily Vitamin-Mineral blend.

SFRAW Healthy Powder contains “best in the world” sourced 100% organic whole-food ingredients that help fill in the gaps that may be seen in home-prepared fresh food diets which rely on various butcher cuts of meat/organs/bones, etc. instead of feeding whole prey.

The ideal nutritional template for dogs & cats is that of wild foraging whole prey animals eaten off the natural substrate in nature (soil, etc). Wild-foraging species of whole prey include nutritional components missing from butchered and processed for human consumption animals such as the fur/feather, hide/skin/connective tissue, and blood.

In addition, the nutritional profile of wild-foraging prey species (protein, fats, bone and organs nutrient density) differs from that of domestically raised species of animals raised for food and processed for human consumption. Our soils have, over time, become depleted of minerals and beneficial microbes.

We have learned just how important it is to fill in these nutritional “gaps” created with the removal of these parts from the natural animal through modern processing, as well as possible nutrient gaps found in wild sourced foods.

We make two versions of our HEALTHY POWDER:

1)      HEALTHY POWDER (without bone meal) is the ideal supplemental to add to all of our SFRAW GRINDS and may be added to supplement any balanced meal. HEALTHY POWDER without bone meal can be safely doubled. It may also be safely added to any of our SFRAW FORMULAS during times of stress or whenever extra nutritional support may be beneficial. We recommend feeding HEALTHY POWDER in combination with our NUTRITIVE SEASONAL HERBS PLUS:

NOTE: Many of the same ingredients of our HEALTHY POWDER (plus more!) are included in our VITALITY BLEND. VITALITY BLEND should not be combined with HEALTHY POWDER for long periods of time, but these supplemental foods may be used in combination for short periods, as needed. The “FEATHERS & FUR” prebiotic fiber component is represented by the following ingredients:

• OUR CAROB is 100% raw (this is exceptional, most “raw” carob powder is actually pre-roasted), organic and incredible food that supports gut health and digestion as a prebiotic low-glycemic insoluble fiber, and it also provides beneficial vitamins & minerals. As a traditional nutritive herb, carob was used to help prevent joint dysplasia when fed to growing puppies. Carob is an excellent source of calcium and potassium, and also contains magnesium, copper, iron, manganese, and zinc. It is a valuable source of vitamin B6, C, D, and E. Our Australian carob is the best quality and best tasting carob in the world and is 100% Certified Organic and Non GMO.

• PSYLLIUM HUSK POWDER is a source of organic, gluten-free, low-glycemic insoluble fiber that maintains healthy bacterial balance in the gastrointestinal system as a prebiotic. It is well tolerated by most animals.

• DULSE – good source of potassium, iron, and other essential minerals and vitamins, and it contains about 20% protein.
